ProjectWise Configuration Instructions

To be able to communicate with HNTB's ProjectWise system the ProjectWise Network control panel must be setup to point to our gateway server. The example dialog boxes shown here assume your company does not have it's own ProjectWise system. If it does, your dialog may look different than those shown.

There are two sets of instructions below. A quick configuration that uses a registry file to quickly enter the necessary information into the Network Control Panel. The manual configuration shows you how to make these changes yourself.

Quick Configuration

Installing the registry file requires administrator privileges. Please contact your local support for assistance.
This method will NOT remove any existing configurations of ProjectWise. It is safe to use if your ProjectWise is already configured to work with another ProjectWise system.
  1. If you have already downloaded the full installer of ProjectWise from HNTB, the registry files are included in that zip file
  2. If you are on a 32-bit Operating System, double-click the HNTB_PW_Settings_32-bit.reg file
  3. If you are on a 64-bit Operating System, double-click the HNTB_PW_Settings_64-bit.reg file
  4. If you are unsure if your computer is using a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system, please contact your local support people.
  5. A warning about adding entries to the registry will appear and ask if you want to continue. Click Yes.
    Add to Registry
  6. If the registry file successfully loads, you'll receive a confirmation dialog. Click OK.
    Registry Success
  7. That's it. Open ProjectWise Explorer and you should see a list of HNTB datasources.
